Supplier Quality

Quality At
The Source.

What happens when your part reaches us, and what we need from your quality system.

Receiving Inspection

Every Lot
Is Checked.

Every shipment is inspected on receipt against the purchase order and your quote:

  • Condition — Matches the condition quoted (NE, NS, OH, SV, AR).
  • Certifications — C of C, 8130-3 / EASA Form 1 and test reports as quoted, legible and matching the part.
  • Shelf life — Cure and expiry dates against the remaining life quoted.
  • Packaging and identification — Part number, quantity, lot or serial number and PO reference.
  • Document accuracy — Part number, revision and manufacturer the same on the part, the certs and the packing slip.
Nonconformance

When Something
Is Wrong.

  • Nonconforming material is quarantined and returned or replaced at the supplier’s cost
  • Suppliers must notify ODS in writing as soon as they find a nonconformance on material already shipped
  • Repeat nonconformances lower a supplier’s score and can remove them from the approved list
Quality System

Records &
Access.

  • Keep a quality system appropriate to your products — see Becoming a Supplier for the certifications we look for
  • Keep quality and traceability records for the period stated in our PO Terms
  • Give ODS, our customers and regulators access to records and facilities when required
